About

Creating awareness of the need for community through connection, education, and the pursuit of radical joy.

Our Goal

Building community is no easy task these days, but we believe that by educating ourselves, people can go from surviving to thriving, from understanding to vocalizing, and from creating choices to making choices. Through a series of events focused on connecting in meaningful, deep, fun, and entertaining ways, we can support each other and build our community in Central Alberta.

If you’re looking for other women with whom to share this crazy ride, grab a couple of buddies and hop on the “crazy lady bus” for what might be the ride of your life.

Our Name

Why the red? The colour red is a throw back to our great, great (for some, great) grandmothers who fought for the first wave of feminism. The Suffragettes. Those bad ass bitches who would go out wearing red lipstick as a symbol of feminine power. So for those women who stood up for equality and education, which then turned to their granddaughters standing for more equality, choice (healthcare and otherwise), and fighting for a collective voice, we rise to the occasion and sing our song of sisterhood.

The shades? Well, equality for all has become synonymous with feminist activism, the shades represent all kinds of femininity present in ALL groups of people. LBGTQ2S, BIPOC, minority, immigrant, and disabled communities deserve a voice and are more than welcome here. Everyone deserves this power, there is plenty to share if we look at power differently than the patriarchy wants us to. So wear whatever shade of red fits ya!
